Torres, a former State Rep. and CPA, Won over 50,000 Votes in the Primary

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Conservative Republican candidate for Texas Comptroller Harvey Hilderbran today announced that he has received the endorsement of one of his opponents, former State Rep. Raul Torres, who earned more than 57,000 votes in the March 4 primary.

“After careful review of the qualifications, the vision, and the experience of each of these two men that are in the runoff for Texas Comptroller, I have come to the conclusion that the man that is best suited at this time to serve as our next Texas Comptroller is Harvey Hilderbran,” said Torres.  “I call upon all Texans to vote for Harvey Hilderbran in May’s Comptroller’s runoff race.  His experience as a legislator and as Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee gives him the edge over his opponent and his Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights Pledge provides a vision and a plan to bring fairness and justice to all the taxpayers of Texas.”

“I am honored to receive the endorsement of my friend and former colleague Raul Torres,” said Hilderbran.  “Raul cares deeply about Texas and I look forward to working with him to address our long term debt.  Raul and I both want to work to grow the Texas economy, now and in the future, and his support of my campaign is greatly appreciated.”
